Vacancy: FLT Driver / General Operative

A valid FLT licence is essential for this position.

AllPro Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established Stoke-on-Trent business for an experienced FLT Driver / General Operative to join their busy operational team.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining forklift driving, material movement and general operative duties. We're looking for someone who is happy to get off the truck and support the wider operation when required.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
• Moving stock, products and materials around the site
• Transporting materials to designated production and storage areas
• Supporting production and general operational activities
• Carrying out manual handling duties when required
• Preparing and organising materials for production
• Completing routine equipment and safety checks
• Maintaining accurate movement and storage of stock
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised
• Working closely with production and warehouse colleagues to meet daily targets
• Following all site procedures and Health & Safety requirements

What We're Looking For

• Valid FLT licence/certificate – essential
• Previous experience operating a Forklift Truck within a warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
• Comfortable carrying out general operative duties alongside FLT driving
• Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working within a busy, hands-on environment
• Flexible and able to work a rotating days, noons and nights shift pattern
